The Ransomed Voices (Uyö Erifak)
A ransom is the sum of money demanded for the release of a captive, signifying that someone is held prisoner until the payment is made. We are thankful for Jesus’ blood, which has ransomed us. As stated in FTH 582, Jesus cleared all our debts and liberated us. The ransomed are free. Thus, if you hear His voice today, do not harden your heart, for Jehovah Tsidkenu will release you from the enemy’s bondage. Amen.
The Ransomed Voices is a renowned Gospel group from Akwa Ibom, Nigeria. Our harmonious blend of voices reflects the rich cultural heritage of the region. Here’s a brief overview:
1. Formation: The Ransomed Voices was formed as an a cappella group, focusing on vocal purity and sincere expression. Our dedication to singing with or without instrumental accompaniment keeps the emphasis on the lyrics and spiritual message.
2. Languages and Dialects: We perform in three native languages: Efik, Ibibio, and Annang, and plan to include English in the future. This honors our heritage and connects with our audience worldwide, spreading the Gospel in familiar tongues.
3. Mission: Our mission is to glorify God through hymns and songs of praise. Our music goes beyond entertainment; it acts as a medium for worship and spiritual contemplation.
